From October 26th to 27th, 2019, the Fifth National Forum on Empirical Research in Education was held in East China Normal University. Professor Huang Jinyan, Professor Chen Quan, Associate Professor Kang Cui, and Xu You (graduate student), participated in the academic seminar. Our graduate student Xu You submitted an academic paper to the conference and made a topic entitled "Eastern Rural Areas" Supply and Enlightenment of Public Resources for Preschool Education ".
This forum is to implement the "East China Normal University Declaration of Action" and vigorously improve the quality of education research and promote the transformation of education research paradigm. It is organized by the East China Normal University, Beijing Normal University, the Education Science Planning Leading Group Office, and the Guangming Daily Educational Research Center. This Fifth Academic Conference of the National Forum on Empirical Education Research, co-sponsored by the Research Center, was co-hosted by 16 domestic high-level pedagogical teaching and research units, attracting more than 1,800 attendees at home and abroad, and jointly discussing educational empirical Research. During the meeting, our faculties communicated with Professor Robert E. Slavin, the Director of the Center for Educational Research and Reform, School of Education, Johns Hopkins University, and Professor Alan Cheung, the Director of the University and Primary and Middle School Cooperative Research Center, Professor Nicholas Sun-Keung Pang, former Director of the Department of Educational Administration and Policy, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, We had in-depth discussions and exchanged views and opinions on hot issues, which promoted the new direction of the educational evaluation and research methods of our school, effectively expanding the influence of our school's education disciplines.
