Professor Huang Jinyan’s report entitled “The Application of Modern Measurement Theories as Research Methodologies in
Evidence-based Educational Research”. From the discussion of the basic literacy of college teachers as the starting point, the report focuses on the importance of evaluation literacy and research literacy. Both assessment and research literacy require researchers to be familiar with and understand modern test theory (ie project response theory and generalization theory), their origin background, theoretical basis, practical application, and the use of advanced quantitative research methods in educational evidence-based research. The report combines multiple project response theories and generalized theory evidence-based research examples to analyze and discuss how to conduct research design, data collection and analysis, interpretation of results, and publication of papers; and how to learn to use project response theory and generalization theory as research Methods The education-based evidence-based study made recommendations. After the report, Professor Huang also had a lively interactive discussion with the teachers.
