In this report, Professor Huang delved into the value and necessity of interdisciplinary integration in reshaping educational boundaries. She systematically outlined four typical forms of interdisciplinary teaching—piecing together, combining, integrating, and merging—analysed the logic behind the formation of disciplinary boundaries and the reasons for their perceived insurmountability. Drawing upon four levels of interdisciplinary integration, she highlighted the Xining Model for advancing high-quality project-based learning in secondary schools. Professor Huang further elucidated core concepts in curriculum design, providing educators with theoretical foundations and practical guidance for dismantling disciplinary barriers and implementing interdisciplinary practices.

During the interactive exchange session, enthusiastic participation from attendees fostered a vibrant atmosphere where the collision of perspectives deepened participants’ understanding of interdisciplinary integration in practice.

In her concluding remarks, Ms Liu Xiaoxu noted that the presentation had both deepened theoretical understanding of interdisciplinary integration and provided actionable practical models. She encouraged attendees to seize this opportunity to integrate interdisciplinary approaches into daily teaching and research, actively exploring pathways suited to their specific educational contexts and school circumstances, thereby contributing to the advancement of educational innovation.
