To thoroughly implement the party's educational policy in the new era and deepen the education on fostering a strong sense of community among the Chinese nation, the School of Teacher Education held a symposium for the 2025 ethnic minority preparatory class in Conference Room 1804 of Sanjiang Building on the afternoon of June 11. Zhang Yun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Kang Cui, Vice President of the School, and representatives of all teachers and students of the preparatory class gathered together to discuss growth, friendship, and development. The symposium comprehensively summarized the effectiveness of preparatory education, listened to the voices of students, and fostered a joint effort in educating people.

The College of Teacher Education regards preparatory education as a foundational stage in national talent development. Guided by the principles of strict standards, care, attentiveness, and integration, the college has established a cultivation system that emphasizes moral integrity, competency, and cultural grounding. Teaching is innovatively combined with practical experience through a collaborative educational approach. Under the academic mentoring system, each student is paired with a personal growth advisor, receiving individualized support in academic planning, psychological well-being, and career development.
Additionally, in collaboration with the School of Marxism, the college offers a compulsory course, Introduction to the Chinese Ethnic Community, which incorporates the core concepts of shared identity and collective development into classroom instruction, thereby strengthening students’ ideological foundation.
This symposium is not only a summary of the achievements in preparatory education, but also a new starting point towards high-quality development. The College of Teacher Education will take the establishment of a strong sense of community among the Chinese nation as the main theme, continue to deepen the comprehensive reform of holistic education for all , explore new paths for preparatory education through to undergraduate education, and contribute greater efforts to cultivating new talents for the era who are capable of shouldering the heavy responsibility of national rejuvenation.
