Professor Wang Jiajia Attends the Eighth Forum on the Construction and Development of Education Disciplines in Comprehensive Universities

On October 25th, the 8th Forum on the Construction and Development of Education Disciplines in Comprehensive Universities opened at the Hubei University.. Professor Wang Jiajia attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech titled Educational Research in the Era of Big Science: Organizational Dilemmas and Pathways for Reform.

This forum was hosted by the Normal College of Hubei University. The participating experts thoroughly studied the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and engaged in academic discussions on the significant contemporary theme of Building an Independent Knowledge System for Education Disciplines in the Context of Establishing a Strong Education Nation. Over a hundred deans and faculty representatives from universities across the country participated in this forum.

The Forum on the Construction and Development of Education Disciplines in Comprehensive Universities was jointly initiated in 2018 by the Institute of Education of Tsinghua University, the Graduate School of Education of Peking University, and the College of Education of Tianjin University. To date, eight sessions have been held. Professor Shi Zhongying, the dean of the Institute of Education at Tsinghua University, stated that over the past eight years, the forum has focused on constructing an educational science with Chinese characteristics, Chinese style, and Chinese ethos, effectively promoting the development of education disciplines in comprehensive universities in the new era. The forum has provided a platform for in-depth discussion and exchange among peers in higher education institutions.
