The Normal Education Center convened a mobilization meeting on April 17th in the small auditorium for the 2021 undergraduate regular student education internship. Vice President Xiaobo Zou was there and gave a speech. The meeting was attended by Bifeng Yin, the Director of the Academic Affairs Office, representatives from the Education Internship Base, teaching deans, department heads, leading teachers, guidance teachers, representatives of outstanding interns from the Class of 2020, and all undergraduate regular students in 2021. Cui Kang, Vice Dean of the School of Teacher Education, presided over the meeting.
The meeting was segmented into two phases. The initial phase involved convening the internship mobilization meeting. The gathering commenced with a speech by Bifeng Yin and a mobilization speech regarding educational internships. He emphasized the need for students to acknowledge the significance of educational internships, adhere to the internship unit’s guidelines and regulations, prioritize their safety, and enable the seamless advancement of the internship process. I want students to keep a constructive and proactive mindset while completing their internship duties. They should actively engage with the middle school environment and establish effective communication with middle school kids and exceptional teachers.
Wenxia Fu, the Vice Principal of Zhenjiang No.3 Middle School, lectured as a representative of the Education Internship Base. Zhenjiang No.3 Middle School chooses exemplary teachers with professional solid ethics who lead by example and possess a high degree of teaching expertise and effectiveness to serve as mentors for each intern. Choose exceptional homeroom instructors highly regarded by students and have excellent classroom management skills to serve as supervisors for intern homeroom teachers. Systematically coordinate the involvement of interns in on-campus instructional workshops.
Xiaoping Song, a member of the School of Mathematical Sciences, gave a speech on behalf of the distinguished educator. Teacher Song has been employed at Jiangsu University for 22 years, during which he has successfully supervised and mentored interns on 22 separate occasions. Teacher Song motivated interns to develop a genuine passion for teaching, exhibit care towards pupils, and perform excellently in the “education project.” Acquire awareness of your weaknesses, acquire knowledge of your challenges, demonstrate a strong desire to engage in self-reflection and further your education, evaluate your skills objectively, and enhance your ability to handle your courses through internships effectively.
Xuan Wang, a representative of the supervising teacher, presented a speech on behalf of the School of Literature. Teacher Wang urged interns to actively engage in opportunities to enhance their listening skills, take on substitute teaching responsibilities, deliver trial lectures, and engage in physical activity. This will enable them to become invaluable and competent aides to high school guidance teachers.
Wei Wang, a member of the Physics (Teacher-training) Class of 2001, delivered a speech as the representative of the 2020 Outstanding Interns. By engaging in educational internships, I have acquired valuable knowledge and integrated the academic theories and subject-teaching ideas I have learned with hands-on teaching experience. This has allowed me to accumulate a wealth of practical experience, which is essential for securing teacher employment.
Yutong Wu, a member of the 2021 intern group, delivered a speech and made a statement on behalf of the group during the Ideological and Political Education class for teacher evaluation. Adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of Jiangsu University and internship schools during educational internships. Follow the guidance of teachers and diligently fulfill all assigned tasks during internships. Remain attentive to social realities and the progress of the times. Actively explore and innovate educational methods and approaches, become an outstanding teacher.
In his address, Xiaobo Zou emphasized the need for regular students to develop a robust educational mindset and enhance the cooperative educational framework of regular education. Teachers in leadership positions, professional guidance counselors, and middle school guidance counselors should enhance internship guidance by improving its timeliness and relevance. The teacher education center, educational internship base, and college combine to educate students, do thorough evaluations, and effectively carry out internship summary and reflection tasks. Interns are expected to have a positive attitude towards their internships and diligently fulfill educational and instructional responsibilities with exceptional quality.
In the second phase of the conference, Ming Xu, an exceptional educator from Jiangsu Province, delivered a talk entitled "Maximizing the Potential of X - A Discussion on Internship Matters". Teacher Xu participated in communication activities through five specific actions: setting up the initial system, connecting trend ports, acquiring proficiency in fundamental operations, activating essential windows, and enhancing personal memory. He asked numerous pupils to engage on the premises, stimulating intellectual curiosity for typical students and vividly exemplifying the educational principle that “education is not about indoctrination, but about sparking intellectual passion.”
The commencement of this conference, following the principles of “self-sufficiency and high moral standards, diligence and pursuit of knowledge” upheld by Jiangsu University, signifies the successful initiation of the 2021 undergraduate regular student education internship at Jiangsu University. Participating in educational internships will enable teacher trainees to improve their practical academic skills, develop a deep understanding of education, strengthen their professional and overall qualities, and establish a solid basis for their future educational endeavors.
