Professor Huang Jinyan, the Director of the Center for Evidence-based Education Assessment Research, recently collaborated with his graduate student Dong Yaxin to publish an academic paper in an international SSCI journal. The paper is titled "Validating the Chinese version of the short-form foreign language classroom anxiety scale." Jiangsu University is the primary institution of the author, with Professor Huang Jinyan as the corresponding author and Dong Yaxin, an academic master's student, as the primary author.
The study utilizes Item Response Theory (IRT) and exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (EFA and CFA) to authenticate the Short Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (S-FLCAS) as a tool for assessing Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety (FLCA) among Chinese university students. The research findings demonstrate that the Chinese iteration of the S-FLCAS is a dependable and accurate tool.
