The “Annual Conference on Education Economics of Jiangsu Province,” organized by the Jiangsu Education Economics Research Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Society, took place in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province from June 21-23, 2024. Dean Jiajia Wang, Professor Baoxi Wang, Ying Liu, Wei Wang, Zexiong Chen, Yaoyuan Cao, Bingyao Xu, and other graduate students were present during the conference.

Dean Jiajia Wang organized a roundtable event titled “Advancement of Education Economics and Management Disciplines in the New Development Stage.” During the roundtable forum, experts and scholars exchanged practical experiences from various units in establishing the discipline of education economics and management. They analyzed the current state of discipline development and proposed ideas and directions for constructing the discipline in the new stage of development.

Prof. Baoxi Wang led the sub-forum on “Education Policy and Legislation” and delivered a report during the conference, which garnered significant attention from the attendees. Two master students’ papers were awarded second place for their exceptional theses.

The focus of this conference is “Development of New Productivity and New Mission of Higher Education and Construction of Educational Economics and Management Disciplines.” The meeting was hosted by the Education Economics Research Committee of Jiangsu Higher Education Society, organized by the School of Public Administration (School of Emergency Management) of China University of Mining and Technology, and co-organized by the Institute of Education Economics and Management of China University of Mining and Technology. More than one hundred specialists, scholars, and graduate students from Peking University, Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, Jiangsu University, and other institutions attended the conference.
