On November 10th, the “2018 Education Think Tank and Education Governance 50-People Round Table Forum” co-organized by the Yangtze River Education Research Institute and the Education Think Tank and the Education Governance Research and Evaluation Center was held in Beijing. Our vice president Chen Hong,Professor Cao Hui from the Planning and Development Department, Vice director Bu Guangqing from the School of Teacher Education, Professor Gao Youhua, Associate Professor Wu Cuihong and Wang Bin attended the meeting.
    During the conference, more than 200 people from the leaders of the national education administrative department, the leaders of the schools, the experts and scholars of universities and teaching and research institutions, the directors of think tanks, the private education institutions and the elites of publishing media organizations gathered to focus on “priority development education”. The theme of "promoting, modernizing education, and building a strong country in education" was discussed and exchanged. Du Yubo, the president of China Higher Education Society, Lu Xiangao,the deputy editor-in-chief of Guangming Daily, Xu Hui, deputy director of the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People's Congress, Zhou Hongyu, dean of the Yangtze River Education Research Institute, delivered keynote speeches, and 15 experts and scholars on education gave the review and summary of the reform of the education system, the international experience of the construction of a strong country of education and the path of China, and the prospect of China's education modernization 2035,and actively exchange academic research results. In the release stage of the forum, the CETTE China Education Think Tank Evaluation System was officially released. The results of the first evaluation report, “China Education Think Tank Evaluation SFAI Research Report (2018)”, were reported simultaneously. Our School of Education Policy has become one of the top eight local college education think tanks in the country.
    During the meeting, our participants learned carefully ahout the speeches of experts and scholars, and timely caught the frontier issues of current educational think tank research. After the meeting,Vice President Chen Hong, Vice dean Bu Guangqing and President Zhou Hongyu of the Yangtze River Education Research Institute and Dean Li Hongtian of Jiangsu Education Modernization Research Institute held consultations on the preparatory work for the Yangtze River Education Forum held by our school in 2019.
