Junming Jiang, Vice Dean of the School of Marxism, Huarong Ge, a teacher from the School of Foreign Languages, and Hua Yin, Deputy Director of the Office of the Normal Education Center of Jiangsu University, conducted a teacher education training program at Zhenjiang Middle School in Jiangsu Province on the morning of March 21st. Guojian Li, the Vice Principal of Zhenjiang Middle School; Lan Zhang, the Director of the School Party and Government Office; Fei Chen, the Director of the Second Grade High School, and a 2020 intern of the School's Ideological and Political Education (Teacher Education) major, all took part in this event.
The assessment group teacher saw an impromptu lecture delivered by intern Qi Wang on the topic of "Understanding Scientific Thinking" in Class 14, grade 2, at Zhenjiang Middle School. Qi Wang employed pedagogical techniques such as teaching and discussion to elucidate the knowledge framework and utilized case teaching and situational teaching approaches to assess the efficacy of student learning. The teaching ideas of the entire class were evident, the structure was concise, the logic was tough, and the student atmosphere was vibrant, which garnered unequivocal praise from the internship school and guiding teachers.
After completing of their teaching duties, the evaluation team which consisted of teachers and interns organized a teaching seminar activity. Qi Wang engaged in self-reflection over her teaching while her classmates provided ratings. The evaluation team teacher addressed the students' uncertainty that arose during the educational internship and offered comprehensive counsel. Dean Jiang promotes a deep appreciation for the teaching profession among students, urging them to seek wisdom from prominent educators regarding the principles of pursuing excellence and continuous growth in teaching.
This educational training activity showcased the capacity of our school's average students to effectively and logically apply their expertise in education and teaching under the supervision of experienced teachers. It enhanced the teaching reflection and research skills of regular students, and evaluated the efficacy of our school's internship teaching, providing a solid basis for their future careers as educators.
