To enhance students’ comprehension of contemporary information technology courses in primary and secondary schools, as well as foster their educational sentiments and professional identity, The School of Teacher Education had arranged for Ms. Tang Jing, a former student of the institution and a junior high school information technology teacher at Zhenjiang Foreign Language School, to deliver a special lecture titled “Information Literacy of Information Technology Teachers: A Focus on Classroom Instruction and Cultivating Professional Attributes.” This lecture was scheduled for June 13th, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in lecture hall 1817 and was specifically intended for undergraduate students majoring in Education Technology. Mr. Bin Wang hosted the seminar from the Department of Educational Technology.

In the initial stages of her career, Ms. Tang Jing taught students how to acquire teaching methods and understand student psychology. Subsequently, as an experienced educator with over a decade of teaching experience, she aimed to achieve significant advancements in her professional growth by honing her skills and expertise. Ultimately, Ms. Tang emphasized that the field of information technology is characterized by its ever-evolving content. As aspiring educators in the field of information technology, it is imperative for them to persistently engage in acquiring subject-specific expertise, pedagogical knowledge, and instructional strategies.

Following the lecture, Mr. Tang responded to inquiries posed by students regarding the professional advancement of educators specializing in information technology. Mr. Wang Bin expressed his gratitude to Mr. Tang for delivering an exceptional presentation. He further encouraged all those present to diligently acquire expertise in their respective fields and master effective pedagogical techniques.
