On February 7th, 2023, the International Academic Conference on “Social Responsibility of Education” was successfully held online. More than 50 experts and scholars from China, the United States, Japan, South Korea, India, and other countries exchanged and discussed the theme of “social responsibility and justice care of education.” The International Academic Conference was co-sponsored by the BK21 ESR research group of Busan University in South Korea and the College of Literature at Anhui University of Finance and Economics.

At the opening ceremony, Jiajia Wang, Dean of the School of Teacher Education at Jiangsu University, introduced the basics and performance of the school. He pointed out that education bears an important social responsibility as an important public utility. He also hoped that through this meeting, the three universities could further deepen academic exchanges and contacts and promote the progress of academic research.

Professor Shouwei Lu, School of Teacher Education, Jiangsu University, and Professor Guydeuk Yeon, Director of the Innovation Center of CHRIST University, India, delivered keynote reports on “Destiny, Education, and Justice: Reflections on the Justice Dilemma of Chinese Education” and “WeJump: A Social Innovation Model for Vulnerable Youth Groups.” In the sub-forum stage, scholars conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the topics of “Education and Equity,”“Technology and Education,” and “Education Policy Research.” Xiaohui Li, Yiwen Cheng, Xuyan Dong, and other teachers and students of the School of Teacher Education also presented their research at this esteemed conference. At the closing ceremony, Professor Jeong Jeong-hoon of the BK21 ESR Research Group at the University of Busan, South Korea, summarized the meeting.
This international conference further deepened the academic cooperation between Jiangsu University and Busan University in South Korea and effectively promoted the internationalization of educational research at Jiangsu University.
