On the morning of Nov 25th, in order to check the quality of 2-month educational internship,the school of teacher education organized the open class activities of 2013th students major in education in Hengshun Experimental Primary School.Our undergraudate students, Wu Mengdan, Ruiyun, Sun Mengling, Lu Bei, Situ Qianwen presented wonderful open classes. The dean, Li Xiaobo, and vice-dean (Liang Aimin), Lu Daokun and Cai Weiren attended this activity.
Under the careful guidance of the instructor and the careful preparation of the five interns,these five interns in different grades taught the language class or math class.It was their first attempt to apply the professional theory to practice in the classroom to fully demonstrate their own teaching organization ability. Rui Yun used discussion methods and question-answer method and other methods to guide students to value the importance of hard work, the enthusiasm of the priamry students was activated. Wu Meng Dan cleverly used the questioning method, actively guiding students to think. Sun Mengling, by analyzing the poem "Yellow Crane Tower sent Meng Haoran of Guangling" , promoting students a good understanding of the content of the poem. Lu Bei presented very clear thinking, the basic good completion of the teaching objectives. Finally, Situ Qianwen attracted the attention of students by using reading-aloud method, the classroom atmosphere is very active.
After the open classes, the vice president and instructors from Hengshun Experimental Primary School appraised the teaching objectives of the design and the interns’ teaching presentation from the perspectives of teacher-student interaction and teachers’ ability to respond to students’ answer, and put forward practical recommendations. Then the Dean Lee presented his insights on the performance of five intern students,which gave a high recognition of the interns’ performances, but also made some valuable suggestions to improve their teaching capacity. This open class activity is a very good demonstration the quality of our undergraduate education and we will continue to improve our program of teacher education.
