On the Interests of Education Research

Education researchers have a prejudice against interests for a long time. They overstate the contradictions between interests and academic research’s professionalism and autonomy， and confuse interests with academic corruption. Nowadays， the prejudice is impeding the development of education research. Actually， as one of most important impetus， interests promotes educational research focus on market needs， transform research achievements into reality and attract talented people. In order to accomplish the interests of education research，the reasonable in terests pursuit of education researchers should be acknowledged， measures should be taken to foster and develop the market of education research， institutions should be adopted to build a fair market.

Abstract：Social and emotional learning （SEL）was firstly advanced by American educators, in order to promote students' emotional quotient （EQ）, change their attitude to life and learning so that problem behaviors could be reduced. Different from normal social studies, SEL is more integral and comprehensive which not only contains but also widens the positive intervention, including promoting EQ, training social competence, preventing violence, influencing personality, promoting mental healthy and so on.
