   Professor Gary McCulloch,from the Institute of Education, University of London, gave a lecture entitled "Research and Application of Educational Historical Materials" on the afternoon of October 27th. The report was presided over by Vice Dean Liang Aimin and attended by all teachers and graduate students. The meeting was held in Room 1806, Sanjiang Building.
   Professor Gary McCulloch is a well-known British educational historian, the first chair professor of Simon's educational history (2003-present), the former chairman of the British Society of Educational History (2005-2007), the present director of International Education History Research Center in the School of Education of London University, the Executive president of the British Educational Research Association. And the senior editor of British Journal of Educational Studies. Professor Gary published 22 books and more than 80 articles.
  In his more than two-hour report, Prof. Gary expounded the main purpose and future trend of historical research in the history of education from the aspects of the classification of historical data, the value of different historical materials and the inadequacy of historical materials. The whole report was very attractive, and the teachers and students not only learned about the history of education, but also broaden the perspective of international educational research.
  After the meeting, the teachers and students of our school and Gary Professor also had a discussion.
